Servant Evangelism Winter Update

This past summer at Springbrook, we had 81 distinct people that served in at least one of five servant evangelism events, up from 79 the year before. There were a high percent of families participating, so 50% of those that attended where kids. Most exciting about this past summer, was that every event was planned and coordinated by one of our small groups!

Summer is a great time to get out and share the love of Christ with people in our community, but there are many winter events that are easy to do as well. Over the Christmas break, the Zajac small group is going to be meeting together to write cards for the the elderly. Mark Barrett is coordinating the event, and I know this simple act of kindness will touch many lives with the love of Christ.

Fall 2010 Update

What a great summer! Five small groups hosted a Servant Evangelism event, with our next event scheduled at LITH Fall Festival on September 5th. Thank you to all of you that participated in an event. With summer behind us, now is the time to join a small group, so jump in!

Servant Evangelism at Springbrook is in full swing for summer 2010. We are asking all of our small groups, ministry teams, and coordinators to register their projects as quickly as possible so that we can update our calendar.

July 26th Project

Come join us Sunday July 26th as we pass out FREE water at the Algonquin Founder's Day Festival. We will be meeting at Springbrook for lunch at 12:20, and then will head over to Algoonquin's Towne Park at 1:00. For 30 minutes we will pass out 500 bottles of water and then head back to Springbrook for snacks and to share stories.

July 11th Project

Come join us Saturday afternoon, July 11th from 2:30 to 4:00 as we pass out free water at Lake in the Hills Ribfest!

We will be meeting at the Langford's home and heading across the street. If you need directions, post your name and email and we'll send them to immediately. Or you can call Pastor Richard at (847) 668-4746.

Don't forget to bring someone with you; it's going to be a blast!

June 28th Project

If you missed out on the opportunity to pass out regular and diet cokes on the 14th, here is your opportunity to jump in and pass out water bottles on the 28th!

Neighborhood Coffee Cards

It was awesome to hear all the stories people shared when they came back from passing out coffee cards to our neighbors. This is going to be a great summer!

June 14th Project
