June 14th Project Stories
On Sunday, June 14th, we hit the community passing out regular and diet coke, and we had an AWESOME time together! If you were there, or if you had an opportunity to receive your free coke, take a moment to let us hear from you!
As I was waiting at the intersection of Algonquin and Randall road I noticed several people wearing the typical uniform to accept donations. I immediately reached in my wallet for a $1 bill and passed it to the gentleman who kindly offered me my choice of either diet or regular soda. I accepted and he graciously declined the money I had in my hand. As I read the card I felt so special and at that moment I had some chills throughout my body. I will accept your offer and come in for a visit sometime in the near future. I have been longing for a church that is truly non for profit, providing the encouragement and resources to enrich the lives of the community and well hopefully everything else I so desperately seek in a church.
